A FAMILY-RUN FLOWER FARM

As a family of flower growers, we are consistently up at dawn to welcome the golden light. As we enter our greenhouses, we find our lisianthus blooming generously. Although we have seen so many over the years, we are always mesmerised by their incredible diversity.

The lisianthus remind us of our family: each one unfolding layer upon layer, revealing their own character. Every flower different and unique, yet bound by a common spirit. Here we find the true wealth of a family-run flower farm. Every generation bringing their own ideas and energy. Perhaps that is what our farm is truly about: having something to share, nurture and pass on. We hope to also share this with you.

It is striking how naturally our roles within the family seem to find their place within the nursery too. Frank senior is the steady foundation of the farm, keeping an eye on the bigger picture. With a natural instinct for what helps things thrive, Corine develops the assortment and explores innovations such as nature-inclusive cultivation. As any family knows, no two children are alike. Calm and precise, Jerom utilizes his qualities in his work in technology, biology and crop protection. Meanwhile, Frank junior connects our nursery with the world beyond, inspiring enthousiasm with his fresh energy. We have come to realize: Farming is, above all, about understanding that there is a place for everyone.

A NATURAL APPROACH TO GROWING LISIANTHUS

With family at the heart of our farm, one seat is reserved for mother nature. Over the years we have found that often the best practises are found in nature itself. Every year we welcome more and more organic growing practices into our greenhouses.

We have learned how to grow with nature, creating a balance in which even the smallest forms of life have a place. We collect rainwater to water our plants, tiny allies help us keep the plants in balance and the green waste of trimmed flowers is returned as nourishment for future fields. We see beauty in allowing nature to help our flowers bloom.
